Our Story

dbandrea® through the years

The Beginning

2016

Andrea got this beautiful Valentine's bouquet from Justin, her now-husband, and was inspired by his grandmother’s flower-pressing hobby. The hobby quickly grew into "Pressed Flower Crafts". Andrea’s handcrafted pieces quickly gained attention on social media, Etsy, and her website. The popularity led to custom order requests.

First Bridal Bouquet + Community Support

2017

Andrea preserved her first bridal bouquet, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her business. She also created her "Texas Strong" piece to raise funds for Hurricane Harvey relief. This success encouraged her to sell limited edition prints of her work. By year’s end, Andrea had participated in local markets and realized her hobby was becoming a full-fledged business.

Taking the Leap, Workshops + Exhibitions

2018

After participating in over 50 markets and appearances, Andrea left her corporate career to focus full-time on her passion. Before making the leap, she began conducting workshops, displayed her art in various coffee shops and galleries throughout Dallas, and started selling at Nordstrom pop-up events. Shortly after, she expanded her team, hired four assistants, and fully dedicated herself to bouquet preservation, pioneering the process of color restoration in floral

Rebranding + Experimentation

2019

With growing demand, Andrea rebranded to dbandrea, becoming the nation’s premier bouquet preservation service. Her work was displayed in various galleries across the USA, further establishing her as an artist. Working from home with a full-time team of five, she began experimenting with resin floral preservation, expanding her artistic offerings and continuing to innovate.

Recognition + Growth Amidst Challenges

2020

Despite the pandemic’s impact on the wedding industry, Andrea and her grownig team of 12 served over 1,000 brides. This year, dbandrea was featured in major publications such as Southern Living, D Magazine, D Weddings, and several news segments. After years of development, she introduced her popular floral blocks, and in November, dbandrea moved into its first leased commercial space.

Expansion + New Ventures

2021

With the business thriving, Andrea and Justin purchased a commercial building to house dbandrea’s growing operations (and Justin's automotive companies). The team expanded to 18 members, serving nearly 2,000 clients annually. dbandrea also introduced a wider range of floral block options, and the popular "Make it a Set!" campaign, offering unmatched customization options in the market.

Studio + Innovation

2022

The dbandrea team moved into their new renovated 6,000 sq. ft. studio, which became the hub for even more creativity and innovation. They launched resin tables, including the first-ever 24" table top made with preserved flowers, solidifying dbandrea’s reputation for customization and quality.

New Ventures + Personal Milestones

2023

Andrea introduced Bridal Club™, a wedding podcast tailored to her clients. She also revisited and refined past offerings, further enhancing the company’s bouquet preservation services. On a personal note, Andrea and Justin tied the knot, making the year even more memorable.

2024

This year saw the reintroduction of floating frames and the launch of Press-3D™, a modern take on shadow boxes.
